No its not a typo. It was always going to be a bad idea seeing an artist once they’d gone mainstream having followed them from their humble beginnings. The Devotion, Jessie Ware, album launch party at Plan B in Brixton last summer was immense, nothing was going to top it. So why oh why did I go to see her at Shephards Bush on 14th March 2013. Well if Im honest, I didnt mean to. A friend had a spare ticket, and I never turn down a free opp to listen to live music.
I suppose the night got off to a bad start. Man like me were supporting. Nough said.
Jessie came on stage looking absolutely stunning and her voice was pitch perfect as usual but the energy we saw at Plan B was no where to be seen. Dont get me wrong, I’m still a big fan, but the act just seemed a bit tired. They were trying out different ways of playing the tunes, but it just didnt click for me this time.
